Christopher Columbus (Spanish: Cristóbal Colón, Cristóbal Colón) (between August 26 and October 31, 1451 - May 20, 1506) was an Italian navigator cartographer admiral and viceroy, famous because he discovered America in 1492. Considering the story particularly important fact of his arrival in America in 1492, calls the historical period before his arrival before Columbus or pre-Columbian period.
