RICHARD THE LIONHEART
Richard I the Lionheart (Oxford September 8, 1157 - April 6, 1199) was King of England and Duke of Aquitaine (1189 to 1199). Named Lionheart because of his courage on the battlefield. The Ivanois (Ivanhoe) is a novel by Sir Walter Scott. Written in 1819, and the action is placed in England in the 12th century.
