The Ivanois (Ivanhoe) is a novel by Sir Walter Scott. Written in 1819, and the action is placed in England in the 12th century. In the conflict that ensues is tied, but eventually apokliromenos knight defeats one after another, all the Normans. The second day of racing, the conflict between apokliromenou knight and Norman is furious. The Normans, seeing how they will be defeated, break the rules.
