IMITATION DENIX 1046 ENFIELD
|
DENIX 1046
The Enfield Short Rifle was a percussion-lock rifle used extensively by both the North and South in the Civil War. It was generally well regarded for its accuracy and reliability. It was also used by British infantry of the period. Made at the British Government armory at Enfield, near London, the muzzle-loading rifle had a blued finish to help prevent rusting and fired a .577 caliber conical ball.

String-Tool, Pair #1 (9,5mm) (12,7mm-1/2")
|
Serving Shifter
The Beiter Serving Shifter is a practical tool, which allows to move the Center Serving or the End Serving on the string (e.g. if you want to move the Nocking Point).
Not only – and much more important! – it allows to „compact“ the serving.
In the picture on the left the Beiter Servin Shifter is mounted on the handy Beiter Tool Clip delivered with it. The Beiter Serving Shifter #1 (white) is made for smaller diameter, the Serving Shifter #2 (black) for larger ones, for Nockgroove #2 or Hunter.
Making your own strings - normally - you can not put enough tension in the serving tool to achieve a very tight serving. Therefor it makes sense to move 3 to 5 windings a time approx 2mm to one direction
you will see that at the end the serving moved much more!! This means that you serving is more compact, tighter and will last longer!
The Beiter Serving Shifter can be stored and carried in the Beiter Tool Clip (the same used for the Beiter String Tool), for example attached to your quiver
ready to be used!
You can also buy the Serving Shifter in pairs: you will than get one each #1 and #2 Serving Shifter.. the Tool Clip can than be ordered separately!

DENIX 1054
British "Brown Bess" musket used in Napoleonic Wars (1799-1815)
Brown Bess is a nickname of uncertain origin for the British Army's Land Pattern Musket and its derivatives. This musket was used in the era of the expansion of the British Empire and acquired symbolic importance at least as significant as its physical importance. It was in use for over a hundred years with many incremental changes in its design. These versions include the Long Land Pattern, Short Land Pattern, India Pattern, New Land Pattern Musket, Sea Service Musket and others.
The Long Land Pattern musket and its derivatives, all .75 caliber flintlock muskets, were the standard long guns of the British Empire's land forces from 1722 until 1838 when they were superseded by a percussion cap smoothbore musket. The British Ordnance System converted many Flintlocks into the new Percussion system known as the Pattern 1839 Musket. A fire in 1841 at the Tower of London destroyed many muskets before they could be converted. Still, the Brown Bess saw service until the middle of the nineteenth century. Some were still in service during the Indian rebellion of 1857, some were used by Zulu warriors who had purchased them from European traders during the Anglo-Zulu War in 1879, and some were sold to the Mexican Army who used them during the Texas Revolution of 1836 and the Mexican-American War of 1846 to 1848. One was even used in the Battle of Shiloh in 1862.
Most male citizens of the American Colonies were required by law to own arms and ammunition for militia duty. The Long Land Pattern was a common firearm in use by both sides in the American Revolutionary War.

Distanzholder for Serving, complete with 4 DH-Plug
|
Distance Holder
The Beiter Distance Holder is a tool to separate string and cable of a Compound Bow, to allow or simplify specific works to be done, such as re-serving a string or cable or to fix a nocking point or peep sight...
The biggest advantages toward similar products are, that on one hand it is smaller and on the other hand the cable guard is not an obstacle, but is eventually part of the use.
The Beiter Distance Holder can be used in different ways:
inserted in the cable-guard, if you have to serve in the area of the cable-guard itself.
with 2 or 3 installed DH-Plugs, Plugs for Distance Holder, you can use the Beiter Distance Holder directly between string and cables: the plugs will than be a sort of rolls to better slide on the cables!!
with 4 installed DH-Plugs, 2 per each side, for shoot-through cable systems.
